Having been born in "The Land of Song", Chris has enjoyed singing since being a member of the school choir that sang in Llandaff Cathedral. He has enjoyed accompanying children on the guitar for many years whenever his great love of sport has allowed him. However, he found true inspiration when he met John Webber over 25 years ago, enjoying working with him and seeing the dream of a Junior Choir being fulfilled.

"I have known John for many years, and he has always talked about starting a choir for kids. The choir is wonderful, John is just the greatest enthusiast, he's a teacher down to his boots and loves to see children develop. Its incredible to see children start from a very young age and watch them develop performance wise and confidence wise... Its amazing.

"It is always difficult to accompany children because you have to be very flexible and feel what they are feeling, but John gives young accompanists the opportunities to practise and perform which are not always available in a school environment."

Chris was deputy head master of Crockenhill Primary School in Swanley from 1973 and his daughters attended a school in Swanley where John used to teach. John and Chris met at Swanley music festival and have played together ever since.

"We have had some incredible times together musically, and we remain firm friends."
