The Beckenham Junior Choir is for children aged 7 to 11, and of all musical abilities. We rehearse weekly in Beckenham Baptist Church Hall in Elm Road, Beckenham, (See a map here ) and we have a broad repertoire, from carols to cantatas, from musicals to modern classics, from folk songs to film themes. We have even sung the Golden Touch, about King Midas, which was composed for us, by a former member, James Olsen.
We now have the expert services of a specialist singing coach, Stuart Kale, well known in operatic circles. Beckenham Youth VoicesThe popularity of the choir has led to this group for boys and girls of secondary school age. A popular way of members of the junior choir continuing to sing and perform as part of our concert programme.
Promoting MusicThe Beckenham Junior Choir and Youth Voices is a non-profit organisation working to promote music for young people in our community. You can read more about our past in our history section. |

The Beckenham Junior Choir was established in 1993. It gives children in the Beckenham, Bromley and surrounding areas, a unique singing opportunity covering a wide variety of music in a non-competitive atmosphere. The musical director, John Webber, is an accomplished musician and teacher, and is currently Director of Music at St. John's, East Dulwich.
We hold regular concerts (normally at the end of term), and although our base is the Baptist Church, we have performed concerts at St. David's College, West Wickham and as far afield as Eastbourne and Romney Marsh, Kent and Southwold, Suffolk.
