Junior Choir and Youth Voices Raise the Roof at Anerley Town Hall!

The Anerley Town Hall concert on Friday night, 23rd March, was very special.  We haven’t visited there as a Choir for many years and the stage gave us an extra dimension.

Well done to the various soloists.....and announcers.....and to the Choirs as a whole, plus pianists and other musicians, not to overlook the parents and friends behind the scenes.

The two Choirs are producing a lovely tone.  Both groups have some very special individual voices and we have been fortunate to have new members recently with talent.....and we shall use them again!

It was wonderful to have the two instrumental groups from Trinity School.  They are very talented and added greatly to the occasion.

Congratulations to you all!

Following the concert we have had some lovely compliments from the audience:

"My ears are still ringing and G. is still buzzing about the experience of singing on the stage. Also watching the other musicians especially the youth voices which we thought were brilliant.

I certainly didn't realise how much effort goes into conducting the choir, keeping  them in tune and singing the right words. The London Songs were my personal favourite." A. Glynn

"Just wanted to pass on my thanks and congratulations re the concert at Anerley last Friday.

As relative newcomers to the choir, it was amazing to see how much progress has been made in such a short space of time and the children are growing with every piece.

My sister and brother in law (both members of Eisteddfod winning choirs in their time!) were visiting from South Wales and were most impressed and thoroughly entertained. They particularly liked the London pieces and agreed that you got great value for a pound!  Such a great way of boosting confidence and self esteem. So too, with the opportunity for budding pianists to accompany the choir. Fantastic." H. Davies

Junior Choir at St George's Saturday Morning Coffee Concert

Beckenham Junior Choir performed on 3rd March at St George's Church, Beckenham, as part of its series of short Saturday morning Coffee Concerts.  It was a lovely occasion with a variety of songs, poems and also some excellent solos and was well supported by the local community.

It was wonderful to be invited to perform in the beautiful surroundings of St George's with the spring flowers in bloom in the churchyard - something we do not often get to see as most of our concerts are in the evening!

Youth Voices Concert at Holy Trinity Church

Youth Voices gave a really good concert at Holy Trinity Church and everyone there was rightly proud of them!  Solos galore, a duet and a trio, plus the essential full Choir items, as well as music for flute and for organ.
